Every business has some accreditation that gives the authenticity of competency and professional skills of a person. It basically validates your skills and knowledge in the particular field. Similarly, Certified Technology Specialist certification deals with audio-visual (AV) management and operation. The history can be traced back to the time when the audio-visual industry strived for the accredited body. Over time, they have finally amalgamated behind the Infocomm International Trade Group, and the credential they offer is known as Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). This evaluates the individual skills against peer-developed standards and competencies and offers a time-limited credential (3 years in most circumstances). The holders of CTS must meet the continuing requirements for renewal to retain their qualifications. The CTS program is the only audio-visual certification accredited by ANSI/ISO/IEC 17024.
Claiming to be something and doing that particular skill is different, and CTS certification makes it easier for you to trust people who claim to manage the audio-visual professional if they possess a CTS certificate.
