DBA Overview & Certification Path

Oracle Database Administrator

Oracle has three levels of certification, beginning with the Certified Associate Administrator of the Oracle Database (OCA), progressing to a Certified Professional Oracle Database Administrator (OCP), and a full circle of Oracle Certified Master’s Database Administrators (OCM).

Microsoft

Microsoft is a niche player offering an extensive range of certifications in the field of verification for databases. The easiest database credential is Microsoft Office Specialist Access Track if you hold Microsoft Access databases for your company. For SQL Server, Microsoft provides three categories of entry-level, expert-level and database-specific certifications.
