Microsoft App Builder certifications

Certification path for Microsoft Developer includes MTA, MCSA, and MCSD certifications. The MTA program recognises individuals who are in-house software developers. The two credentials for the Microsoft App Builder MSCA track are MCSA: Universal Windows Platform (UWP) credential prepares candidates for professional development projects. They have to pass two exams, one on programming in C#, the other on developing mobile apps.

MCSA: Web Applications credential prepares candidates for web-based applications. They must pass two exams, one of which is required, while candidates may choose between two options for a second exam. All candidates must take the ASP.NET MVC web application development exam. Second-exam topics include programming in HTML5 with JavaScript and CSS3 or programming in C#.

Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)

This skill is designed to be a basic entry into Microsoft’s M365 offering. It covers the basics of products that come with a Microsoft 365 subscription. This is for those seeking to get started in IT, and specifically those looking to get started working with and managing Microsoft’s 365 environments and deployments. This is the entry-level knowledge required to play a role in the administration of M365 and prepares viewers for any of the four branches of administration of M365 (Modern Desktop Admin, Teamwork Admin, Messaging Admin, and Security Admin). These courses can also help you prepare for the Microsoft MS-900: Microsoft 365 Fundamentals exam.

Core Infrastructure

If you are looking for a single accreditation then Microsoft offers a single core infrastructure credential – MCSE: Core Infrastructure. MCSE: Core Infrastructure Certification validates the candidate’s knowledge and skills related to data centres, virtualisation, system management, storage, networking, and identity management. The credential requires either MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or MCSA: Windows Server 2012 as a precondition. The Candidates must pass a single examination of seven subjects.
